Quiet, cake and repentance

The house was very quiet today. I like quiet. But a fellow can get too much of it.

I took cake and chocotone for snack after our study tonight. The Cake House had closed already so I went on up to the supermarket and got them. People seemed to like them. Study, too.

The study was lesson 4: “A new way of life.” Most Christians understand (I hope) why our values and priorities are different. It's all because of eternity. We covered most of the lesson, but there's a tad more of it, plus some points to add to it, which we'll cover next time.

The radio program with Valdizan this morning was enjoyable, topic of repentance. The world makes fun of it, lots of cartoons with weirdos raising signs: “Repent or Perish!” Or yet, “Turn or Burn!” But it's an essential part of the gospel.

See especially this verse.

Repentance is decision time. It changes everything, turns life around, heads in a different direction, focuses on the new and the future. It makes this life even more important.
