When change yanks your chain
Life throws you for a loop, they say, and say correctly. We never know from one day to the next what might happen. We makes our plans, which may be easily and quickly interrupted. Routine can get quickly broken.
Mine got upturned last week. The Missus's accident Sunday week ago stopped most everything. I've had to do pretty much everything around the house, and out, my job and hers. It's a hard thing to do, take on the extra responsibility. She's stressed about the accident and its limitations, and I from the double load. As well as not knowing how long this new situation will last.
There are lessons to be learned and virtues to be developed in these moments, if we can keep perspective. The struggle is to see that and not be carried away by the strain of the moment.
How am I doing? That's the question.
